Swanepoel van Zyl Incorporated has its origins at the beginning of 2015 with the establishment of the firm for the purpose of assisting of various property specialists to negotiate the intricacies of property transfers and related matters. Since this time the firm has gone from strength to strength and now has burgeoning litigation and property law departments with offices in two different suburbs of Johannesburg.
Conveyancing, Property Law, Environmental Law and Foreclosures
The Conveyancing Department handles all aspects relating to property and property law in South Africa. These include commercial and residential developments, conventional transfers of properties, and in particular transfers as a result of liquidations, deceased and insolvent estates, auctions, court orders and foreclosures.
We also assist in day to day miscellaneous applications, consents and endorsements required in the conveyancing process.
We also offer all services relating to the registration and cancellation of bonds, including and notarial bonds and the registration of all types of servitudes.
We further provide a unique approach to property law by rendering advice that keeps our clients appraised of the sustainability requirements and development envisioned in Environmental Law, and offer corporate and property law services to businesses. Our services can provide advice on renewable energy, clean technology and sustainable investment enterprises.

While our Krugersdorp offices focus mainly on the property law practice, and our Hyde Park offices are dedicated to litigation, both offices are integrated to work as a unit ensuring a dependable and exceptional level of service.
The firm has the advantage of operating within the jurisdiction of the High Court in Johannesburg, as well as the Johannesburg, Randburg, Roodepoort, and Krugersdorp Magistrates’ Courts. Any other matters are managed with the assistance of a selection of the best correspondent attorneys around the country and abroad.

Director
Johan van Zyl
Johan obtained his LLB degree in 2012 from the North West University, having already obtained a degree in BComm Economics and Law.
He has also attended the University of Antwerp in Belgium to obtain further qualifications in European Legal Studies.
Having been admitted in 2014, Johan further obtained right of appearance in the High Court of South Africa and specialises in commercial and corporate dispute resolution. He further has experience in insurance law, commercial litigation and arbitration, debt collection, family law and property law.
